You have to eat at the Old Mill if you're ever in the Pigeon Forge area - you will not be disappointed!
We had just finished our day at Dollywood so put our name in for the restaurant and there was an hour wait. Spent that hour in the Old Mill compound area looking at all the shops and specialties that were around. This place is so popular that everyone else had the same idea but it all went smoothly.
We were seated right at the 1 hr mark. Our waitress was very nice and attentive to the 6 tables she had all at one time. Your meal is served with soup, salad, green beans, corn fritters, mashed potatoes, the meal then dessert. Seriously so much food, so much homecooked food that will last you awhile. I chose the fried shrimp and I'm really regretting not getting a thing of their batter because it was beyond delicious. My husband got the chicken fried steak and thought the same thing and was extremely satisfied afterwards. We took our desserts to go.
They are very accommodating and the place is huge but take that into consideration when you visit that they do they best to make sure everyone has a great meal. -

Our server was very friendly. The portion sizes were outrageously over sized. One of us declined one of their sides. We each had enough food leftover for TWO more meals. The three of us left with FIVE to-go boxes! After we left we had to stop and buy an ice chest to take them home because we were on the last day of our vacation.
The dinner price included soup, a salad, entree, two sides, bread, and even dessert.
I left feeling dirty for the glutinous experience.
The only bad thing was that the tables and chairs were so small that my mom and I who are both about 5'6" and about 125 pounds were constantly bumping into each other.
One other thing is the wait time was well over an hour so definitely make a reservation if possible. -

Wonderful home cooked food and friendly, great service. Almost didn't go there because it's always busy and parking can be a challenge. Although it appeared packed the wait was only about :15 minutes.
It's a beautiful old Mill and the rustic atmosphere was enjoyable especially on a cool fall day.
It's wheelchair accessible as the have a small lift for wheelchairs or people who can't do steps to take you to a lower level.
Will definitely be back when we are in the area again! -

Wow! What a fabulous experience! Yes the wait is long. But the wait is worth it if you want a delicious (& large) southern cooked meal. My advice is get there, make your reservation and then walk around all the sites in the old mill complex. Then when they call your name, hustle in so you can give your tastebuds a southern feast. My server (Leo?) was great and really helpful w the menu. He let me have chicken and dumplings as substitute for one of my sides. I had the turkey dinner. Very tasty and turkey was moist and cooked just right. The salad was delicious and I loved the ranch dressing. And the corn fritters are legit. As if that's not enough, I have a slice of pecan pie to go along w the rest of my leftovers. This place lives up to its reputation. And, the staff is super welcoming and very hardworking!

It doesn't get any better than this place. We had 3 couples, in and out in less than an hour. Brittany was our server and she was definitely on top of here game for service. We had liver and onions, fried chicken, meatloaf and a fruit plate. All, except for the fruit plate was served with mashed potatoes, Italian beans, white and brown gravy and corn chowder, biscuits and corn fritters.
